The 2023 Wimbledon Championships was a Grand Slam Tennis tournament that took place in Wimbledon, London, United Kingdom, from 3 July to 16 July, 2023.

  • The tournament was played on grass courts, with all main draw matches played at the All-England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Wimbledon.
  • The 2023 Championships was the 136th edition, the 129th staging of the Ladies’ Singles Championship event, the 55th in the Open Era and the third Grand Slam tournament of the year.
  • The Championships 2024 will take place from 1 July 2024 to 14 July 2024.

» Carlos Alcaraz won the men’s singles title, defeating four-time defending champion Novak Djokovic 1–6, 7–6(8–6), 6–1, 3–6, 6–4 in the final.

  • It was his 1st Wimbledon title and 2nd major singles title overall.

» Markéta Vondroušová won the women’s singles title, defeating Ons Jabeur in the final, 6–4, 6–4.

  • It was her first major singles title and her first overall title in six years.
  • Markéta Vondroušová became the first unseeded female player in the Open Era to win a Wimbledon title.

Mixed Doubles:

Mate Pavić (Croatia) & Lyudmyla Kichenok (Ukraine) defeated Joran Vliegen (Belgium) & Xu Yifan (China)

» Wimbledon is the only remaining Grand Slam event played on natural grass courts. Since 1877, the All England Club in Wimbledon, London has been hosting the event.
