Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2023

The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu conferred the “Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) 2023” to 11 exceptional children on 23 January 2023 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

This year, the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar was conferred upon 11 children selected from all regions of the country for their exceptional achievement in the field of Art and Culture (4), Bravery (1), Innovation (2), Social Service (1), and Sports (3). The awardees include 6 boys and 5 girls, belonging to 11 States and UTs.

A book on Baal Veer “Young Heroes of India” was also released during the ceremony by Smt Smriti Zubin Irani, Union Minister for Women and Child Development, who presented the first copy to the President of India.

Innovation Category:
  1. Aditya Pratap Singh Chauhan (Chhattisgarh)
  2. Rishi Shiv Prasanna (Karnataka)
Sports Category:
  1. Hanaya Nisar (Jammu & Kashmir)
  2. Kolagatla Alana Meenakshi (Andhra Pradesh)
  3. Shauryajit Ranjitkumar Khaire (Gujarat)
Bravery Category:
  1. Rohan Ramchandra Bahir (Maharashtra)
Social Service Category:
  1. Anoushka Jolly (Delhi)
About Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar:
  • Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is instituted by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India.
  • The Government of India confers the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar to children in the age group 5 – 18 years, for their exceptional achievement in six categories namely Innovation, Social Service, Scholastic, Sports, Art & Culture and Bravery. 
  • Each awardee of PMRBP is given a medal, a cash prize of Rs 1 Lakh and a Certificate.
