Baroda Military Salary Package:
  • Indian Army and Bank of Baroda have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for ‘Baroda Military Salary Package’.
    Services under ‘Baroda Military Salary Package’ will be offered to serving and retired personnel of Indian Army through the Bank’s network.
Appointment:
  • Senior Indian Information Service (IIS) officer Ramesh Chandra Joshi taken charge as CBI’s chief information officer, on December 28, 2020.
First ever driverless metro train operations:
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 28 December 2020 flagged off India’s first ever driverless metro train operations on Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line. It will connect Janakpuri West to Botanical Garden metro stations.

He also inaugurated the fully operational National Common Mobility Card service on the Airport Express Line. The NCMC Service will enable the passengers to travel on the Airport Express Line using the RuPay-Debit Card issued from any part of the country.

CoWIN:
  • IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has announced the launching of Grand Challenge for strengthening the COVID Vaccine Intelligence Network “CoWIN” system.
    CoWIN is a digitalised platform to be used to effectively roll out and scale up the mechanism for COVID Vaccine Distribution System, nationally.

  • In the 2020 edition of S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd, has been named Asia’s most sustainable company and globally ranked eighth in the textiles, apparel and luxury goods industry for its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance.
