⇒ The Executive Board of the Sahitya Akademi under the Chairmanship of its President, Sri Madhav Kaushik approved selection of 24 books for the Sahitya Akademi Translation Prize 2023.
- The Executive Board met on 11 March 2024 at Rabindra Bhavan, New Delhi and approved selection of 24 books for the Sahitya Akademi Prize for Translation 2023 in 24 Indian Languages.
Key Points:
- These books were selected as per the prescribed rules and procedures on the basis of recommendations made by Selection Committees consisting of three members each in the respective languages.
- The prize relates, to translations first published during the five years prior to the year immediately preceding the year of Prize for Translation (i.e. between 1 January 2017 and 31 December 2021).
- The Prize carries an amount of Rs 50,000/- and a copper plaque.
