Pan India Campaign 'Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Samman'

⇒ The Vice-President, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar inaugurated a yearlong pan India campaign ‘Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Samman’ to commemorate the 75th Year of India as Republic on 24th January, 2024 at Dr Ambedkar International Centre.

The Campaign ‘Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Samman’ is being undertaken by Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India.

Aim:

The campaign aims to reaffirm our collective commitment to the principles enshrined in the Constitution of India and celebrate the shared values that bind our nation.

    • This nationwide initiative envisages to instill a sense of pride and responsibility to uphold the ideals outlined in the constitutional framework.
    • It will also give opportunity to every citizen to participate in various ways, empower them to contribute in meaningful way in our democratic journey.
Some of the themes to be covered during the Campaign include:

» Sabko Nyay –Har Ghar Nyaya aims to connect the villagers through the Village Level Entrepreneurs of the Common Service Centers and exalt them to read Sabko Nyay pledge; ‘Nyaya Sahayaks’ which will spearhead awareness about the various citizen- centric legal services to the masses, at their door steps across aspirational blocks and districts.

    • At the State/UT level, Nyaya Seva Mela would be organized which would serve as platforms for individuals to seek guidance, information and support on various legal as well as other services and schemes of the government.

» Another activity naming Nav Bharat Nav Sankalp aims to encourage the masses to embrace the resolutions of Panch Pran by reading the Panch Pran Pledge.

    • The citizens would get the opportunity to showcase their talent and creativity by participating in Panch Pran Rangotsav (Poster Making competition); Panch Pran Anubhav (Reel/Video making competition).
    • The citizens will also get the chance to test their knowledge on Constitution in engaging way.
    • The activities would be hosted at the My Gov platform.

» The third activity Vidhi Jagriti Abhiyan aims to involve the students to carry the message Panch Pran in the villages adopted by the Law colleges, under the Pro Bono Club scheme.

    • It aims to disseminate the legal information of the rights responsibilities and entitlements in very engaging, entertaining and memorable way.
    • It also aims to touch the vulnerable sections of society through Gram Vidhi Chetna, Vanchit Varg Samman, and Nari Bhagidari initiatives.
» After inaugurating the ‘Hamara Samvidhan Hamara Samman’ Campaign, Shri Dhankhar also launched Nyaya Setu, a Tele-facilitation Service, that aims to expand the reach of legal services till the last mile.
    • It will provide a unified legal interface for legal information, legal advice and legal assistance and thus enable a more inclusive and just society.

Ropeway: Symposium-Cum-Exhibition 2024

⇒ Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari addressed the ‘Ropeway: Symposium-Cum-Exhibition’ in New Delhi on 23 January 2024.

The Union Minister said that more than 200 projects at a cost of Rs 1.25 lakh crore have been identified in coming five years under National Ropeways Development Programme, “Parvatmala Pariyojana”. Ropeways hold immense potential to positively impact tourism and job creation in the country.

Objective:

The objective of the ‘Symposium-cum-Exhibition’ was to enable industry collaborations between various Indian and global manufacturers, technology providers, concessionaires and infrastructure developers.

Highlights:
    • The event provided a common platform for industry deliberation to promote ‘Make in India’ and develop a roadmap for localization of ropeway components.
    • Various panel discussions with industry experts were also held on building safer & affordable ropeway systems while improving ropeway industry landscape and enhancing Public Private Partnerships in India.
    • The highlights of the day were the Award of two ropeway projects viz. Bijli Mahadev Ropeway Project in the State of Himachal Pradesh & Dhosi Hill Ropeway project in the State of Haryana.
    • The day also marked the signing of MoU between NHLML and IIT Roorkee for creating a center of excellence for Ropeways and other innovative alternate mobility systems.
    • A session on promoting wayside amenities to improve public convenience was also held. In addition, the exhibition demonstrated state-of-art ropeway technologies by Indian and Global Ropeway Equipment manufacturers in the aerial mobility ecosystem.
    • The day long ‘Symposium-cum-Exhibition’ provided key insights and helped to identify areas for development of policies that will go a long way to promote indigenous manufacturing and enhance capacity & capability of ropeway technology.
    • The symposium also underlined the pivotal role ropeways will play in the growth of Indian economy by enabling development of safer, cost-effective & sustainable mode of transportation under the National Ropeways Development Program.

Important Day

National Girl Child Day 2024

⇒ The Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, celebrated National Girl Child Day on 24th January 2024 at the National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development (NIPCCD).

Painting competition:

The event commenced with painting competition on the theme “Mere Viksit Bharat Ka Sapna/मेरे विकसित भारत का सपना,” involving children from Child Care Institutions (CCIs) in Delhi.

    • National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development (NIPCCD) also partnered in this campaign by organizing a national level event in its premise.
History:
    • Every year, on January 24th, National Girl Child Day is observed countrywide with the aim of engaging the nation in creating a positive environment that values the girl child.
    • The Ministry of Women and Child Development launched National Girl Child Day in 2008.
