Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Sanjay Seth presented awards to the best Marching Contingents and Tableaux of Republic Day Parade 2026 at Rashtriya Rangshala Camp in Delhi on January 30, 2026.
These awards have been given to the Best Marching Contingents from the three Services & the Central Armed Police Forces/Other Auxiliary Forces and Best Tableaux from States/Union Territories & Ministries/Departments for Republic Day Parade 2026.

» Separate results – one by a panel of judges and other through an online public vote conducted by MyGov – have been declared.

» Three panels of judges were constituted to assess the performance of Marching Contingents from the Services & Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF)/other auxiliary forces and tableaux from various States/Union Territories (UTs) & Ministries/Departments of the Central Government.

» In addition, an online poll “Vote for your Favourite Tableau and Marching Contingent at Republic Day Parade 2026” was conducted on the MyGov portal from January 26 to 27, 2026 for the citizens to vote for their favourite tableau and Marching Contingents as ‘Popular Choice Category.

» The central theme of the Republic Day 2026 celebration was “150 Years of Vande Mataram”.
Chief Guest of Republic Day 2026:
» On this momentous occasion, President of the European Council, Mr. Antonio Costa and President of the European Commission, Ms. Ursula von der Leyen were the Chief Guests.
Tableaux of States/UTs & Ministries/Departments:
» A total of 30 tableaux- 17 of States/Union Territories and 13 of Ministries/ Departments /Services- were taken out on the Kartavya Path in New Delhi during the 77th Republic Day Parade on January 26, 2026.
The 17 States/Union Territories were:
Assam, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala, Maharashtra, Manipur, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab
The 13 Ministries/Organisations were:
Air HQs, Naval HQs, Department of Military Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Deptt of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of AYUSH, Ministry of Home Affairs (NDMA & NDRF), Ministry of Home Affairs (BPRD), Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (CPWD), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Ministry of Power, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship
» With a broad theme of ‘Swatantrata ka Mantra: Vande Mataram’ and ‘Samriddhi ka Mantra: Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, the tableaux showcased a unique mix of 150 years of national song Vande Mataram and the nation’s rapid progress on the back of the growing self-reliance across sectors, dipped in its rich and vibrant cultural diversity.
