The 2022 World Cadets Wrestling Championships (U17) took place in Rome, Italy from 25 July to 31 July, 2022.
The Cadet World Championship is a yearly event organized by United World Wrestling. The World Championships is held under Freestyle, Greco-Roman and Women category.
Performance of Indian U-17 contingent in 2022 World Cadets Wrestling Championships:
India won 14 medals, including 7 Gold, 1 Silver and 6 Bronze at the 2022 Cadet (U-17) World Wrestling Championship.
India’s performance at the Cadet (U-17) World Wrestling Championship has been the best ever. India has also topped the medals tally. India won 7 Golds out of which 5 were won by women athletes and 32 years later won a Gold in Greco-Roman.
