- H.E. Mr. Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, visited to India from April 13-15, 2021.
The three-day visit was to boost cooperation in a range of key areas, including in the Indo-Pacific region.
External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, hosted the visiting Foreign Minister for bilateral talks. The bilateral talks paved the way for further strengthening of the bilateral partnership across the trade, defence, climate, migration and mobility, education and health sectors in the post-COVID-19 context.
They explored ways to strengthen cooperation in the Indo-Pacific, including the India-France-Australia Trilateral mechanism, addressing emerging challenges in the maritime and space domains and working together in the area of climate action and biodiversity protection.
Mr Le Drian participated along with the Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Prakash Javadekar at a panel discussion on Climate Change in Delhi. He was also participated in the Raisina Dialogue.
