⇒ A SpaceX shipment of ants, avocados and a human-sized robotic arm was rocketed toward the International Space Station on 29 August 2021. This was the company’s 23rd delivery for NASA in the last 10 years.
Dragon:
The recycled rocket took off from the Kennedy Space Center. The Dragon capsule booster landed successfully on SpaceX’s newest ocean platform called ‘A Shortfall of Gravitas’.
Shipment:
The shipment includes more than 4,800 pounds of supplies for the astronauts, including avocados, lemons, ice cream. The Girl Scouts are sending ants, shrimp and plants for the 7 astronauts to do experiments on.
Robotic Arm:
The robotic arm was manufactured by a Japanese start-up and will be used to perform mundane chores around the Station in a one of it’s kind experiment.
