Gallantry awards to Armed Forces Personnel
⇒ President Smt Droupadi Murmu has approved Gallantry awards to 80 Armed Forces personnel, including 12 posthumous, on the eve of 75th Republic Day i.e. 25 Janaury 2024.
- These include six Kirti Chakras, including three posthumous; 16 Shaurya Chakras, including two posthumous; 53 Sena Medals, including seven posthumous; one Nao Sena Medal (Gallantry) and four Vayu Sena Medals (Gallantry).
» The President also approved 311 defence decorations to Armed Forces and other personnel.
- These include 31 Param Vishisht Seva Medals; four Uttam Yudh Seva Medals; two Bar to Ati Vishisht Seva Medals; 59 Ati Vishisht Seva Medals; 10 Yudh Seva Medals; eight Bar to Sena Medals (Devotion to Duty); 38 Sena Medals (Devotion to Duty); 10 Nao Sena Medals (Devotion to Duty); 14 Vayu Sena Medals (Devotion to Duty); five Bar to Vishisht Seva Medal and 130 Vishisht Seva Medals.

⇒ On the eve of 75th Republic Day, President Smt Droupadi Murmu has also approved President’s Tatrakshak Medal (PTM) and Tatrakshak Medal (TM) to the following outstanding Indian Coast Guard (ICG) personnel for their act of conspicuous gallantry, exceptional devotion to duty, distinguished/meritorious service:

54th Statehood Day of Himachal Pradesh
⇒ Himachal Pradesh celebrated its 54th Statehood Day on January 25, 2024 with full enthusiasm across the state.
- On this day in the year 1971, Himachal was carved out as an 18th state and got full statehood.
Parakram Diwas 2024
⇒ Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi participated in Parakram Diwas celebrations on 23 January 2024 at the Red Fort in Delhi.
- During the program, the Prime Minister also launched Bharat Parv, to be held from the 23rd to the 31st of January.

The comprehensive celebration was organized by the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with its allied institutions such as the Archaeological Survey of India, National School of Drama, Sahitya Akademi, and the National Archives of India.
As part of the program, the event hosted a rich array of activities that delve into the profound legacy of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and the Azad Hind Fauj.
