40th India International Trade Fair (IITF-2021)

The 40th India International Trade Fair (IITF – 2021) was organized at Pragati Maidan from November 14 to 27, 2021.

The Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Textiles, Shri Piyush Goyal inaugurated the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2021 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on November 14, 2021.

  • The first five days of IITF 2021 i.e. November 14 to 18 were exclusively reserved for business days and it was open to the general public from November 19 to 27.
Theme:

The Fair was focused on the theme “Aatmanirbhar Bharat“, which aimed to promote investment and self-reliance in diverse sectors to meet domestic demand and be a part of the global supply chain eco-system.

Focus States: Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand

Area:

Due to induction of New Exhibition Complex of International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC) at Pragati Maidan, the area of IITF 2021 increased to 73,000 sq mtr approximately, which was three times in comparison to the previous edition in 2019.

Participation:

Overseas participation was from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, UAE, Tunisia and Turkey.

With nearly 3,000 exhibitors from India and abroad participated with the display of a large range of products and services.

23 States, UTs and 34 Central Ministries, Commodity Boards, PSUs, PSBs and Government Departments participated in this event, which included- MSME, Ministry of Minorities, Ministry of Rural Development (SARAS), Coffee Board, Coir Board, Reserve Bank of India, Central Board of Indirect Tax & Customs, Department of Income Tax, Election Commission of India, etc.

Many companies from Private sector showcased their products and some of them also launched new products.
