World Intellectual Property Day 2021
Since 2000, World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated globally on April 26 every year. World IP Day was established with the aim of increasing general understanding of IP.
Theme:
The theme for the World Intellectual Property Day 2021 was “IP and SMEs: Taking your ideas to market”.
World Intellectual Property Day celebration in Telangana State:
World Intellectual Property Day celebration was organised by CII-TS in association with the Telangana State government on 26 April 2021.
Telangana State Intellectual Property Award for Best IP Portfolio:
During the celebration, Confederation of Indian Industry, Telangana (CII-TS) announced the Telangana State Intellectual Property Award for Best IP Portfolio.
The Telangana State Intellectual Property Award has been instituted to recognise and encourage IP-driven enterprises in the State.
Winners of Telangana State Intellectual Property Award for Best IP Portfolio:
- Under the PSU category: Mishra Dhatu Nigam (MIDHANI)
- Under the large entity category: Drugmaker MSN Laboratories
- Under the medium entity and the small entity categories: Optimus Drugs and Zen Technologies
- Under the startup categories: WiSig Networks
- Under the educational institute categories: Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad
