The Chandler Good Government Index (CGGI) 2021 report has been produced by the Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG). This is the first edition of annual series of Chandler Good Government Index (CGGI). It has been produced for 104 countries globally, to measure the effectiveness of governments.
The CGGI is the world’s most comprehensive index of governance quality and outcomes.
The Chandler Good Government Index is made up of 34 indicators, which are organised into seven pillars:

Strong Institutions
Financial Stewardship
Attractive Marketplace
Global Influence and Reputation
Helping People Rise
The first six pillars related to the six realms of government capabilities. The final pillar focuses on the key outcomes of good governance that help create opportunity and prosperity.
Rank of India:
India has been ranked 49th in the Chandler Good Government Index 2021 with an index score of 0.516 among 104 countries, in terms of government capabilities and outcomes.
Top & Bottom Country:
Finland, with an index score of 0.848 topped while Venezuela placed at bottom with an index score of 0.155, in the list.
