» The 2025 SDAT (Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu) Squash World Cup was held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India from December 9-14, 2025. This was the 5th edition of the Squash World Cup.

Host Nation:
  • The tournament was hosted by India, marking the third consecutive time it was hosted in Chennai.
Mascot for the 2025 tournament:
  • The official mascot of the SDAT Squash World Cup was “Veera”, a vibrant peacock that represents the grace and energy of the tournament.
Participation:
  • Twelve nations competed for the mixed-team title at the Squash World Cup.
  • Indian Mixed Team, consisting of Joshna Chinappa, Abhay Singh, Velavan Senthilkumar and Anahat Singh.
Final Match:

» The SDAT Squash World Cup final took place on 14 December 2025 at the Express Avenue Mall in Chennai, India.

Led by Anahat Singh, Joshna Chinappa and Abhay Singh, India defeated Hong Kong China 3-0 in the final of the 2025 Squash World Cup to win the title.

  • India won their first Squash World Cup title, and improved on their previous best performance of a bronze medal in the 2023 edition.
  • India became only the fourth nation to win the Squash World Cup, joining an elite list featuring Australia, England and Egypt.

  1. Winner: India
  2. 1st Runner-up: Hong Kong
  3. 2nd Runner-up: Egypt and Japan
Background of the Squash World Cup:
  • The Squash World Cup is an international mixed team squash tournament.
  • It is organised by World Squash, the sport’s global governing body.
  • The first edition was held in 1996. Subsequent editions were held in 1999, 2011, and 2023. The 2025 edition is the latest.
  • Egypt has won the most titles (2 titles).
