  • 2nd Empathy e-Conclave on “World Hepatitis Day” for creating awareness among parliamentarians organised by Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) in collaboration with Airport Authority of India (AAI) was conducted on 28 July 2020. Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare as the guests of honour said, The theme of this year’s conclave is “Keep your Liver Safe in COVID times”.
  • Bombay Flying Club became the India’s first Drone Training School, located in Juhu Aerodrome. Club got an approval from DGCA India.
  • Delhi govt launched a website for job seeker and job opportunity creators named as “Rozgar Bazaar”. Both can register on portal.
  • Due to corona virus pandemic The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards will be held virtually on 20 Sept 2020.The ceremony, which was originally to be held at Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles, California.
  • India’s first solar-powered ferry “Aditya” has won the prestigious Gustave Trouve Award for Excellence in Electric Boats and Boating. Aditya is a solar-powered ferry operating between Vaikkom and Thavanakkadavu in the Indian state of Kerala & Ferry was inaugurated on 12 Jan 2017.
  • The External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar Unveils his new book “The India Way: Strategies for an Uncertain World”, which is scheduled for release on 7 Sep 2020. The former dipolmat S Jaishankar says India struggled to gain influence due to three foreign policy “burdens”. These three major burdens are partition, delayed economic reforms and prolonged exercise of the nuclear option.
  • NASA launched Mars Perseverance rover “United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket” from Florida’s Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. this will touch down inside the 28-mile-wide Jezero Crater in February 2021. Perseverance rover will send seek signs of ancient life, collect samples for future return to Earth and deploy a miniature helicopter.
  • The meeting between Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Indonesian counterpart General Prabowo Subianto held in new delhi on 27 July 2020. They agreed to expand defence ties and technology sharing.
  • Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman attended the 5th Annual Meeting of Board of Governors of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank on 28 July 2020. AIIB’s gave financial assistance of about $10 Billion to its member countries including India to combat COVID-19 pandemic. Nirmala Sitharaman said that to give boost the infrastructure development, India launched National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP) 2020-2025 with estimated expenditure of $1.4 trillion that has created a plethora of fresh investment opportunities for AIIB’s partnerships.
